The year 2011 seems to be a grand year for novelist, poet, playwright and human rights activist, Jonathan Okafor as his long anticiptated novels Who I Am and Second Class Citizens will be hitting the stores early 2011. The former which explains his growing up and childhood experiences will be officially presented in March 2011, if the author’s plans for the presentation materializes. More information about the book presentation as regard the date, time and address will be communicated to you on this site. The official presentation of the later, which deals on the adversity of HIV/AIDS in third world countries is scheduled for May 2011. Official date for the presentation is yet unknown. Both presentations will be taking place at CAISA, cultural centre for immigrants, Helsinki.
He will be appearing for the first time on Codewit Channel in January 2011 for his first interview in the year. During the interview, the author will share with his devoted readers and keen viewers how the concepts of his latest projects came about and his experiences while working on the projects and matters in general. Sometime in March 2009, Jonathan launched his first two novels ‘Agony of a Child’ and ‘Season of Tears’ and it turned out to be a success.
Book signings and readings will follow suit in various bookstores and libraries within and outside Helsinki and mini lectures organised on account of his new novels.
